I used to think that bravery is a moment when you’re afraid but still perform big and daring deeds as you understand that there is something more than fear.

I used to think that bravery meant broad gestures when you’re saving someone’s life, resist, and sacrifice.

Now I think that bravery shows every day in the most basic, insignificant actions. It takes bravery to admit your mistakes. It takes bravery to continue to do what you must do. It takes bravery to keep quiet despite your feelings and keep yourself in control when the stakes are high. It takes bravery to remain true to yourself when no one supports you. It takes bravery to be happy in the way you want to be. This is our daily, underestimated bravery.
