Disappointment is:
a drop in your stomach
a cave in your chest
a lump in your throat
a distance in your gaze.
It is the gap between our expectations and the reality we experience, an unavoidable side effect of dreaming, a possible symptom of delusion.
It can be a lesson, fueling our ambitions and pushing us to do better. But it also asks us to stop chasing, to question our desires to surrender to that which we cannot control.
